The UN Small Arms Treaty If Ratified Will Take Your Guns

This is not news to gun owners who are politically active, but I need to point this piece of legislation out to everyone.

The US Senate is going to consider ratifying the UN Small Arms Treaty.  If it does, there WILL be a gun grab in violation of the 2nd Amendment.  This means SWAT teams coming to everybody's door and searching for guns.  It will also trump the 10th Amendment which allows localities and states to say NO to federal laws they don't like.  In other words, your local government won't be able to say no to it.

If they take law abiding people's guns the criminals and thugs will be the only ones with guns, like in other places they took the guns.

You need to contact your Senators and tell them in no uncertain terms that you will vote them out of office if they vote for this horrible idea.  And then pass this message on to everyone you know.

The reason we have the right to bear arms is not for sportsmanship or going to the range or hunting.  It's as an insurance against the rise of a dictatorship.  Our Founding Fathers took it seriously enough to keep live cannon in their front yards after the Revolutionary War in case the British ever came back.  Emperor Hirohito of Japan didn't invade the US during WW2 because he knew there'd be a "gun behind every blade of grass".  But it's not just for foreign invaders, it's for the internal rise of a dictatorship too.

If they pass this treaty, simply don't comply.  The UN should have no more say over our sovereignty and how we live than some foreigner just here for a visit, and they need to be kicked the heck out before they do any more damage.
